Before anything else, I'd like to say thank you. Not just for supporting me through subs or likes or kind comments, but for taking a chance. Every video of mine promises an exchange of your time for some kind of valuable entertainment or thought provoking ideas and stories. I can't begin to thank you enough for taking that chance and watching these videos that I've poured my heart into over the past 5 years.

There is however another side of this that I'd like to highlight if you'll allow me to. At the end of last year I made a video about journeys and destinations, it was probably one of my favorite videos I made in 2025. Part of why I made that video was because I was struggling with the idea of chasing goals and feeling empty upon reaching them. The solution I came to is something I'd like you to keep in mind through your own life. Rewards matter, they're incredibly important, and there are some miserable journeys that we simply must endure to continue living. Even still, there exist countless situations in which we *do* have a choice. In those situations, I'd like you to consider selecting your goals and "destinations" based on which journey you'd enjoy the most. 100k means the world to me, but what felt even better was finishing my lunch, returning to my desk, and getting right back to the work that I love. I hope that regardless of what your goals may be, you enjoy every second of the journey.

Again, I can not possibly say this enough, but thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

I come bearing yet another question for the good people of the world (that's you!)
Have you ever played a game where you felt the gameplay itself was miserable, but that miserable gameplay directly lead to a more interesting, impactful, or otherwise meaningful experience? For example; I hated the gameplay of Bilewater in Silksong, but I loved how the mechanics there worked together make it feel like that entire area was a living entity that was designed to hurt anything that entered it.

I have a question! Can you think of a game in a series that dramatically deviated from what the series used to be? Breath of the Wild for the Zelda series and Monster Hunter World for Monster Hunter for example. Any examples are welcome, but specifically I'm looking for negative ones. Reasoning/context is also greatly appreciated!

Howdy! I've got some updates for you so I'll just cut to the chase.

1. I played Alabaster Dawn (the next game by the crosscode devs) and posted a video about it on Patreon! It's a new type of video that I haven't done before, but it was really fun!

2. the next main channel video will hopefully be out by the 25th. It's pretty long, but I'm making progress! Here's the hint: It's a direct sequel to a previous video.
