The Bad News and the Good News- If a criminal breaks the law he goes to jail. In a similar way, if people break God’s 10 Commandments by committing idolatry, blasphemy, lying, stealing, lusting, or hating others then He will justly send them to hell forever. But if someone pays the fine or the bail money for the criminal then they can be set free. Jesus Christ is truly God and truly human. He lived a sinless life in order to give His righteousness to His sinful people. He was crucified and died on the cross for the sins of his people. His death paid the fine and it bails his people out of God's wrath. Then Jesus rose from the dead and defeated death. Repent, turn from sin, and trust in Jesus Christ to save you from sin and hell and you will be saved, forgiven, justified, and have eternal life. Jesus Christ is King and is reigning now. He's on His Throne, His Kingdom is on the earth, he’s putting all his enemies under his feet, and he will return to judge the world- 1 Corinthians 15.
