Welcome to the Cultivating Curmudgeon, where grumpy gardening meets gourmet goodness! Join this retired professor-turned-gardener as he navigates the chaotic world of growing his own food. He battles pests, tames unruly zucchini, and transforms his bounty into jams and chutneys. But that's not all! This curmudgeon also tackles cheesemaking (with mixed results and cheesy puns) and mushroom cultivation in a climate hotter than a jalapeño. He embraces sustainability, proving aging disgracefully doesn't mean giving up on the planet (or your sense of humor). So grab your gardening gloves and join the Curmudgeon on his hilarious journey of horticultural hilarity and culinary curiosity! Subscribe now and embrace the grumpy side of gardening!

Well its been a busy time and not a great amount of filming. However the greenhouse is slowly going up, lots of mushrooms in before the hot weather hits and the vertical garden is growing nicely! Hang about and I'll get updates posted - including a full tour of the garden soon.....

Time for the next major project! My cheap greenhous is being dismantled and heading off for a high school project to be reincarnated as a shade house. I committed (to the asylum) to a new greenhouse from @mazeproductsau which will arrive late this month/early November. Its the 8x16 Glory greenhouse. Dismantling and construction videos to follow.

Those who know Bruce "the Grow House" may have seen how successful he is. Time to expand and build a bigger and better Bruce (should we call him Robert the Bruce?). This will take time and will be a specialised mushroom room to make room for more mushrooms :-) and help reduce contamination from the soil in seed raising trays. Greenhouse up (Thanks @yifeiren), humidifiers, reflective screening, lighting and air exchanges ordered - from guess where....
Stay tuned for the video on building Robert!
