The PEN-TV Studio was established by the federal program "Title I" to help teach writing in the classroom.
The goal of the studio has grown over the years. Not only does the studio aim to help instruction, it also is being used as a way of communicating with our parents and our community.
Through the show Kidnections, important topics are discussed to inform parents of the many programs the St. Bernard Public School System has to offer. Another show, Hindsight, highlights the recent events of which the community may be unaware. It also gives recognition to schools, teachers, and students for their accomplishments.
The studio is also an active classroom. The students at Chalmette High School use the studio to learn and in return function as a crew for the parish productions.
