Simon Chainsaw, whose real name is Simon Drew, originally made his mark back in the 1980s with a band called the Vanilla Chainsaws, a Punk rock group from Sydney. They were known for their energetic performances and a blend of hard rock and alternative Punk sounds, and they got some international attention through the late '80s and early '90s. After the Vanilla Chainsaws disbanded in the mid-90s, Simon went on to continue his music career under the name Simon Chainsaw, drawing inspiration from punk and rock legends and keeping that raw, melodic edge in his sound.
