Peace y'all! I'm a Hip Hop teaching artist and multimedia operator in Pittsburgh, PA via Binghamton, NY. Some of what I do:

- I own Fresh Air Flavor where I create graphics, videos & web designs for small businesses
- I sell and resell trading cards, video games and home-electronics

I've been working on this album since 2018. This was initially the beginning of the rebrand of Idasa Tariq becoming SoulMan IT. Because I needed boundaries and separation with people.
I'm known more for providing media and IT services than my art, which is why I end up promoting that instead of my art. Most don't know the IT stands for my initials, and I stopped caring explaining it 1000 times over lol. Shoot, when I went by Idasa Tariq I couldn't get folks to pronounce it correctly even when I corrected them. So a new path was formed.
Most people won't care about you they care about what you can do for them, and I went all in with that over these last 7 years. It's a truth we don't often like to admit, but becomes realer when you start running a business.
I started making this a year after my Baba passed and my Ma got cancer. I made the majority of it at the start of COVID. I've lost family while making this. Was in a toxic COVID relationship that started to become physically abusive to me while making this. Was depressed while making this. I went to therapy and this became therapy while making this. I became sober while making this. I changed for the better while making this. Started hardening and toughening up while making this.
This is the new era. Of me being a better me while I finish making this. I've gotten to work with some of my favorite and dopest artists I've ever met like Jeremiah Marcel, Gallo Locknez, E-Fluent, Yamin Semali, Livefromthecity, Dereos Roads, Gene Stovall, SelfMan7.
We at the finish line. Just had to remind myself and all that I am an artist first. Who learned all these skills so I can compete and put myself on, cause who will if you don't? I was just a 14 year old kid from Binghamton who wanted to rap. If I can do it, we all can. F the system of oppression, we Attica forever. We tilted forever, always seeking to create balance.

Peace gang. Sorry the past couple months have been inconsistent on the Sundays. I've a couple life/work things going on which have changed my stream schedule up a bit, so I'm working on changing that up so the streams can be consistent again.
In the meantime I will be releasing the individual beats I've created on the stream through the week. Just dropped one today you can check out.
