I'm looking to get off the beaten path and film some fresh tracks for the channel, but I'm hitting a bit of a wall.

I've been emailing station owners to ask for permission to ride on their land, but I haven't heard back from a single one yet.

Does anyone have tips on how to properly approach landowners for access? If you know of any stations that are open to "explorers" (or how to get in touch with them), I’d really appreciate the help!

I thought my previous ride was scenic. Well, this weeks ride was probably even better. The Ruakituri valley had some amazing views. And Bushy Knoll Road was simply stunning.

I decided to head up to Auckland for the Motorcycle Show this weekend. I spend a lot of time riding a motorcycle. So I thought I should try to show some interest in the machines themselves.

I've uploaded Part 2 of my "failed" camping trip.


There were a couple of times on this weekend ride where Google Maps wouldn't route through the roads I wanted to take. So I'm wondering what other people use to navigate. Is there anything else out there that is better, easy to use, and most of all... free?

Sorry for the delay on the next video. I went for a weekend ride, but I've been having some annoying computer issues that are slowing down the editing. I should have the video finished and uploaded on Sunday or Monday. Thanks for your patience!

The last couple of weeks haven't been ideal for motorbike rides with all this bad weather! I hope you're all staying safe and dry out there.

This week, it wasn't the rain that stopped my ride, but a double whammy of punctures! Thankfully, I had my repair kit with me this time, so I wasn't completely stranded. Still, a slow leak isn't exactly ideal for a long ride, so my planned route will have to wait a little longer.

The good news is that I'm getting new tyres, and a new chain and sprocket this week. That means you can definitely look forward to a great ride video soon as I break them in!

This weeks video is going to be delayed for a while. I'm waiting for permission from a property owner to include some footage of their land.
I wonder whether many other people bother getting permission before putting stuff on Youtube.

I didn't get out for a ride this weekend. That means this is one of those rare weeks where I don't upload a new video. I might put out a couple of Short video clips from some of the recent rides so that YouTube doesn't relegate me to the scrap pile.

I have created a PayPal account so that I can receive "gifts" from kind people. (I'm not sure if it works yet, but it looks like a cheaper option to the YouTube payments)
I did not set up the channel as a way to make money. However, the fuel, maintenance, and technology costs do add up. I certainly won't begrudge any assistance people want to give me.
