Concert inspired club music! Two instruments face one another: the grand piano and the drums.
Classical music belongs in the concert hall, club tunes in the disco. One serves high culture, the other our basic instincts. The OhOhOhs have torn these prejudices apart.
Some compositions are painstakingly intertwined. Dance music gets reinterpreted as classical and vice versa. The ancient magic of throbbing drumbeats attains the same plateau as the intimate melodies of a grand piano.

Conga Workshop mit Florian Dreßler
Trommeln macht Spaß – die Rhythmen der Welt gehen ins Blut und laden zum Mitmachen ein. In diesem dreistündigen Einsteigerkurs lernen die Teilnehmer*innen das Spiel auf kubanischen Congas und werden selbst aktiv als Percussionist*innen. Neben Congas kommen im Ensemblespiel auch Claves, Bongos und Güiro zum Einsatz.
Die Wurzeln der Conga reichen von Westafrika über Kuba bis nach Lateinamerika. Gespielt wird meist im Sitzen auf zwei bis drei Trommeln. Unterschiedliche Anschlagtechniken erzeugen typische Klangfarben.
Im Kurs stehen Spieltechnik, Klanggestaltung, das Erlernen traditioneller Rhythmen und der Spaß am gemeinsamen Trommeln im Mittelpunkt. Auch kulturelle Hintergründe und Stilrichtungen werden thematisiert – individuelle Fragen sind willkommen.
