Sometimes the investigation takes us out of the woods.
This time, CCIS stepped into the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, CT, leaving the forest behind to explore history, art, and human perception that shape the way we understand the unknown. Cryptids don’t exist in isolation. They live in culture, symbols, and the stories we choose to preserve. Knowledge and understanding are priceless.
The same curiosity that drives us through frozen state forests, also asks us to look closely at what humans have feared, imagined, and recorded for centuries. Different environment. Same old questions.
It’s about getting out there!
