Hey there! For those of you who are new here, let me introduce myself.

I’m Okta, an Indonesian who’s been living in the Netherlands for almost 8 years. I’m married to a Dutch guy, and after 5 years of long-distance, we’ve now been together for almost 12 years and have two young boys.

I’m a Scorpio, and I really enjoy my time alone — I don’t talk much, I prefer to listen. I sometimes feel overwhelmed meeting so many people. I love deep conversations, a good warm drink (like cappuccino, matcha, or chai latte), Asian food, and anything spicy. I also really love the colors black and red, and I definitely prefer savory over sweet!

I create cooking videos, not because I’m an expert, but simply to share what I cook daily for my family. As an Indonesian living in the Netherlands, I try my best to bring a little piece of home into my kitchen and share that with you all.

You might notice that I’m always smiling in my videos. That’s because I’ve been trying to smile more — I don’t love my “serious” face, and I guess that’s why I haven’t made so many friends. But I like to think God gave me that “serious” look to protect my sensitive heart, and I’m grateful for it. So if you ever see me in real life and I look serious, that’s just my face 😁

I truly hope you enjoy my content and that it brings you a little bit of joy or inspiration. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support, kindness, and for being here. It means more than words can express, and I’m truly grateful for every one of you! ❤️
