Many think the prophet ought to go around giving out personal messages all the time, leading and guiding people by that office. Many people do that and call themselves prophets. We have an outbreak of this every so often in the Body of Christ; it isn't anything new. For example, years ago I knew a number of couples who got married because some so-called prophet prophesied to them, telling them they should marry. Every single one of those marriages failed because they looked to a so-called prophet to guide them instead of the Holy Spirit residing within. Don't marry someone just because some so-called prophet prophesies to you.

A prophet is a person who speaks for God or a deity, or by divine inspiration. a person who foretells or predicts what is to come.
As we begin, we need to be reminded about Christ plan and His plans for the Church under the New Covenant are different than His dealings were with Israel under the Old Covenant.

People under the Old Covenant were not born again. God could not deal with them in the Spirit because their spirits hadn't been recreated and born again. But under the New Covenant, our spirits have been recreated in the image and likeness of God, so God can deal with us in the Spirit as born-again children of God.

Therefore, God's plan for the Church — the Body of Christ — under the New Covenant is different in several respects from those living under the Old Covenant.
For example, His plan for the Church in ministry is different under the New Covenant than it was under the Old Covenant. God deals with the Church — the Body of Christ — differently in ministry than He did with the Israelites who were not born again.

Don't Waver Prayers
Starting tomorrow from 5 AM, we will focus on Romans 4:20
He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,

We will not waver on the promises given to us from God. We shall hold fast the Prophetic Word spoken upon our lives. We will not give up on waiting on God. We shall see the promises of God come to pass in our lives.

He gave some Apostles…

The root word translated APOSTLES is APOSTOLOS it means a delegate, messenger, one sent forth with orders. An ambassador of the Gospel, a commissioner of Christ with miraculous power.

First Class of Apostle: Jesus Christ

Jesus stands at the Head of the list in each of the fivefold ministry gifts.

The Bible calls Jesus an apostle.

The Greek word translated "apostle" also means a messenger, a sent one, or a commissioned one. Hebrews 3:1 says,.. consider the APOSTLE and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus."

Hebrews 3:1 KJV Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Jesus certainly was commissioned, wasn't He? Jesus stands at the Head of the list of sent ones. He is called an Apostle because in His earthly ministry

He was a Sent One, a Messenger, and a Commissioned One to bring the good news of salvation to the world.

Then Jesus called Himself a prophet.

Matthew 13:57 KJV And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

He also stood in the evangelist's office because He proclaimed the good news of salvation.

Luke 19:9 KJV And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. 10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Jesus was a pastor; He called Himself the Good Shepherd.

John 10:11 KJV I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. 12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. 13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. 15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

And He was a teacher; one “of the main facets of Jesus' ministry was teaching people.

Matthew 9:35 KJV And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

Jesus is in a class by Himself in each ministry gift. No one else will ever stand in that highest class because Jesus had the Spirit without measure (John 3:34). No other person ever has, nor ever will be anointed without measure. Believers have the Spirit by measure (Rom. 12:3).

This Sunday we build up again as we do an indepth study on the Ministry gift of an Apostle.

5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control [d]perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither [e]barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
To your virtue, strive to add knowledge. Not merely general knowledge of the Gospel or God's Word; what we need is PRECISE, ACCURATE knowledge of Christ.
