I got on the ‪@hogtownpodcast‬ to talk about high speed rail, subway costs, and fixing Toronto's streetcars. It was a really interesting conversation from two guys who had the best questions about transit I have heard in a very long time. If you miss my content on Youtube, you'll probably enjoy my blog which might expand to have some more podcast style content later this year.

My latest post is about High-Speed rail in Canada and why our conservative party is completely lacking in vision on this issue.

I made a blog about my journey towards self improvement (fixing my shortcomings really) last year, and I've loved writing it every week.

In this weeks post I compare public transit in Toronto to eating with your feet.

Yeah.

I really think we are going to see EV numbers permanently tick higher as a result of this oil crisis. Todays blog post is on the strategic value of electric public transport.

I woke up at 3:55 this morning to stand in -25 degree weather for two hours and visit every station of the Eglinton Crosstown. This 8000-word essay contains all of my thoughts and a whole lot of photos. The overall takeaway? It's good, but there's things to improve.

A piece from me in the Toroto Star today, I'll flesh out my concerns more in a post later, but the Eglinton Crosstown is good, which is a problem, because while the stations are palatial, the streetcar style trains are not high capacity.

I increasingly feel trapped because Toronto and Ontario don't appear to care about providing good transit to their people at almost any level.

So I'm asking you, what questions do you have about public transit that I could talk about? What are you curious about? I'll write that!

Of course I'll write about it on my blog: open.substack.com/pub/nextmetro

I know some people don't like substack, I'd suggest you reach out to me and I can try to find you an alternative. I'm also looking for them more broadly.
