වප් පුර පසළොස්වක පොහොය දිනය අදට (06) යෙදී තිබේ. වස්සාන සමයේ පෙරවස් එළඹුනු භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේ තෙමසකින් වස් පවාරණය කිරීම අද වැනි පොහොය දිනකදී සිදු කෙරේ. සත්වන වස් කාලය ගත කිරීමට තව්තිසා දෙව්ලොවට වැඩම කෙරූ බුදුරාජණන් වහන්සේ දෙව්ලොවින් නික්ම දඹදිව සංකස්සපුරයට වැඩම කර මහා පෙළහර පාමින් වැඩසිට ඇත්තේ ද අද වැනි පොහොය දිනක බව සඳහන් ය. සැරියුත් මහ නාහිමියන් ප්‍රඥාලාභී භික්ෂූන් අතර අග්‍රස්ථානය ලැබීම මෛත්‍රී බෝ සතාණන් ගෞතම බුදු සසුනෙහි පැවිදි වීම ඇතුළු ශාසනික සිදුවීම් කිහිපයක් හේතුවෙන් මෙම පොහොය දිනය ලෝකවාසී බෞද්ධයන්ට වැදගත් වේ.
