Good fun talking ‘pidgin to da max’ with my brother from my first movie I was discovered for, “Aloha Summer”, and getting to meet new solé brutha James Mane! If you’ve ever spent time in my homestate Hawaii, you’ll recognize our particular accents. Pidgin is a broken English patois born of the many cultures that settled in the Hawaiian islands to work the plantations, etc. and could not communicate since they did not know each others languages. They cobbled together the broken bits of English and somehow created pidgin.
