During the early morning hours, we lost our King. A beloved man, and a uniter of Norway. He’s been on the throne since 1991, and has been viewed as
«Hele Norges Bestefar»
In English it translates to: The nation’s Grandfather.
He was famous for his including and warm presence, for equality for everyone. His speeches always focused on what could unite us as a nation, and for how he viewed this country.
His motto «alt for Norge» (All for Norway) was taken seriously, so we will continue to be a country that unites, includes and respects in honour of his name.
My dear King, fly high and rest well deserved after your duty done well for all these years 🥀
You where loved by the nation, and we will welcome your son, King Haakon VIII which I’m sure will make a great king as well!

Rest in Peace King Harald 💔

This breaks my heart more than I could imagine it to do. Even though I didn’t know him, or ever met him. He was such an example of how great Norway can be, how great a Norwegian person can be. He was king before I was born, and has been the only King I’ve ever known. What a man he was, an incredible soul. Our country will all miss him dearly and deeply.

Because of this, I will take a little break to grieve with my country.

To his royal majesty King Harald, rest in peace ❤️
