The Bahamian flagged PANTHER MAX ship, which has a machine failure in the Dardanelles, has been taken to the safe anchor area, February 02.
The machinery of the Bahamian flagged empty dry cargo ship PANTHER MAX, a vessel of 230 meters long and 44 thousand gross tons, sailing from Egypt to Ukraine, malfunctioned in front of the Nara location.
After the ship captain reported the situation to the Çanakkale Strait Ship Traffic Services Directorate (VTS), the tugboats KURTARMA-16 and NÂZIM TUR belonging to the Coastal Police Department were dispatched to the region.

Dubai Maritime City Authority succeeds in floating a container ship that ran aground near Palm Deira, 28 January, 2022
The Dubai Maritime City Authority of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation has succeeded in floating a grounded container ship THORSWIND near Palm Deira in Dubai on Thursday while it was heading from Port Khalid in Sharjah to Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Dubai Maritime City Authority of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, said that the Authority received news of the grounding of the container ship THORSWIND on Thursday morning, adding that urgent meetings were held with the relevant authorities in the public and private sectors to expedite the re-floating of the container ship, in coordination with Port Rashid.
The Dubai Maritime City Authority has contacted a number of concerned authorities and entities to ensure navigational safety and the preservation of the marine environment.
The Authority supervised the process of re-floating the ship THORSWIND without reporting any injuries, leaks or any side effects on the maritime traffic in the waters of the emirate.
THORSWIND, which weighs more than 20,000 tons and has a width of 29.8 meters and a length of 183.5 meters.
Sheikh Saeed praised the swift action of the Dubai Maritime City Authority team and all the specialised teams that oversaw the resolution of the situation.

🤩MIND-BLOWING PHOTOS: Exactly 8 years ago, on January the 3rd, 2015, the huge cargo ship the HOEGH OSAKA (carrying high-end cars) ran aground off the coast of England on its way from Southampton to Bremerhaven.
The vessel deliberately ran aground to prevent capsizing after it began to list. All 25 crew members were rescued.
A few days after it ran aground, the vessel refloated itself, assisted by strong winds and strong tides. With a list of 52 degrees, the vessel was towed two miles east in the Solent and was held by two tugs for a full assessment undertaken by salvage company Svitzer. Salvors managed to upright the vessel and tow it back to Southampton port.
Reports mentioned that more than 1,400 brand-new Land Rovers, Minis and Jaguars along with a smaller number of Porsches, a £260,000 Rolls Royce Wraith, and 105 pieces of construction equipment, worth roughly €80 million, were on board the 51,000-tonne ship.
