Yesterday, someone called me a whale. 🐳 Out of 1,000 positive comments on my #jumprope Video (link in bio), 1 bully finally left a message of hate.

“Whale” he said.

My initial reaction was, does this guy think I’d be hurt by this? Cause I was not. I had been called all sorts of names all my life and it’ll take more than a childish insult to upset me. Especially if it was obviously coming from someone with a lower intellect. (Yes, that was a slight jab)

He was obviously not coming from a place of concern, but of hurt and hatred. You see.. hurt people, hurt people.

The world is cruel and it hates on all shapes and sizes. It does not matter if you are skinny or fat. But you know what’s the worse type of hatred? It is the one that we direct towards ourselves.

So, let this serve as a reminder to be kind to yourself. Be kind through your words, your thoughts and your actions. Stop calling yourself ugly.. Stop thinking you are a failure. Stop deliberately choosing to eat that junk.

Be kind to your body. Cause believe me.. No one else will.

I filmed my sample intros on 3 different occasions for a Youtube channel I’ve been meaning to create. I watched it and I did not like how I looked. I felt that I was too fat so I did not post it at all.

✨June 2019
Whilst spending hours watching other YouTubers, I suddenly decided enough is enough! I will stop watching other people do what I always wanted to! I need to START doing what I always said I WOULD DO.

✨July 15, 2019
I filmed, edited and posted my first YouTube video on Mayumi TV. It was an easy and quick Hummus Recipe. It was my first time for everything and I had to learn it all on the fly. I did not buy any equipment, I just used my camera phone and whatever I lack in gear, I made up with effort.

✨Aug 11, 2020
#MayumiTV hit 1,000 subscribers and I finally monetised the channel. It took 13 whole months of hard work before I got paid. I was so passionate but reaching this milestone felt so colossal that I was constantly doubting myself.

✨Jan. 16, 2021
10k subs. 10k people. 10,000 human beings joining me in my journey towards Getting it Together. Unbelievable.
