Check out my summer tan! 😂
After an entire summer of walking in the sun and laying out by the pool as often as possible, I have finally been rewarded…
with a cluster of freckles on my knees.
It was a lot of effort, but I did it.
I even put my tannest arm across my legs for comparison, because apparently we needed a control group.
Have I always been this pale?
...Yes.
It used to be an insecurity.
But now? Honestly… it just makes me laugh.
And I think that’s something we get to choose with our insecurities. We can let them bother us, or we can decide they don't have to.
Sometimes, you just have to learn to laugh at yourself a little.

Tonight's video is one I've wanted to make for a long time.
For years, I thought taking accountability meant admitting I was the one to blame or trying to carry the weight of everything that happened to me all by myself.
But I've realized it's something entirely different.
It's the key to your own freedom.
Because once you understand what part you played in what happened, and what is actually within your control, you can take your power back and start living intentionally.
I hope it gives you something to think about.
🎥 Join me Tonight at 6PM on YouTube!
Before you watch, I'd love to know...
When you hear the word "accountability," what's the first thing that comes to mind?
Let me know in the comments.

Sunsets can be a beautiful reminder of our own worth.
Every time I see one, I'm reminded that the sky can be absolutely breathtaking, and yet not everyone will stop to appreciate it.
Some people barely glance up.
Some people complain that it's still too hot, or that it's getting dark too soon.
Some people are too busy looking at their phones to notice it at all.
But the sunset doesn't care.
It doesn't dim its beauty because someone isn't paying attention.
It doesn't try harder to earn approval.
It doesn't change itself to make everyone happy.
It just keeps being beautiful anyway.
And I think a lot of us could learn something from that.
For years, I tied my worth to whether people were happy with me. Whether they approved of my decisions. Whether I was available when they wanted me to be. Whether I was easygoing, agreeable, and willing to put everyone else's needs ahead of my own.
But real peace came when I realized that my value doesn't decrease because someone doesn't like a boundary I've built out of self-respect.
My worth doesn't disappear because I said no.
Because I stopped sacrificing myself to prove I'm a good person.
Because I limited access to people who only took and rarely gave.
I've learned that every time I say yes when I mean no, overextend myself for someone who wouldn't do the same, or abandon my own needs to carry someone else's, I pay for it later.
So when I need the reminder, I look up.
The sunset is still beautiful whether anyone notices it or not.
And protecting your peace, your worth, and your boundaries isn't selfish.
It's self-respect.
The people who truly value you won't require you to abandon yourself just to keep them comfortable.

The cats have officially decided that my new eBay shelves were built exclusively for their amusement, so I had to improvise some makeshift shelf covers.
Against all odds... they actually worked.
What didn't work quite as well was my attempt to complete the project without injuring myself. I managed to hit my head twice and add yet another bruise to my collection on my left knee. At this point, I'm genuinely starting to think my left knee is some kind of magnet for injury.
To make matters even more ridiculous, we finally taped down a cord I've been tripping over repeatedly. You'd think that would improve my odds.
It did not.
The "Days Without Injury" sign has once again been reset to zero, but at least the shelves are protected, and the cats are successfully redirected.
Anyone else constantly discovering new and creative ways to injure themselves while doing everyday tasks?

Sorry (not sorry) for the late post today!
It's been one of those productive (exhausting) days spent cleaning, hauling, organizing, and tackling projects around the house.
If you've been following my journey, you know that transforming our home has been a years-long project, with many adjustments along the way. There were points when the clutter felt impossible, and unfortunately, our space reflected where I was mentally and emotionally at the time.
One thing I've learned is that personal growth doesn't stop with changing yourself. Sometimes it means changing your environment too. Building a home that reflects the life you've worked so hard to create can be incredibly healing.
I still run my eBay business from home, so inventory is always part of the equation, but keeping things organized and functional has become a priority. Today's work paid off when I finally sat down and saw Molly completely relaxed on the couch, enjoying the space right along with us.
This is a life I've fought hard for—the freedom to set my own schedule, spend more time with my family, and be present instead of constantly rushing through the next thing.
If you're overwhelmed by clutter, responsibilities, work, or just life in general, don't underestimate the power of small consistent steps. They add up.
What's one thing you've done recently that made your home or life feel a little more peaceful?

After the episode about trusting yourself again, I’m curious about something:
When you get a gut feeling about something, what do you usually do?
If you want to share more, feel free to comment. I’ve been hearing from so many people who struggle with this, and it’s a really interesting conversation. 🤍

🌪️ Let’s talk about chaos… 🌪️
Hey friends, it’s Leah! This week’s full episode, “Trying to Let Go of Control,” dives into what it feels like when life hits you with domino after domino — floods, torn-up floors, unexpected chaos… and your nervous system goes, “Who invited this?”
Even when you’re doing your best, staying positive, and building a calmer, more organized life, life sometimes still throws a curveball. And honestly? That’s okay.
I want to hear from you:
What’s a recent moment of chaos that totally shook up your week? How did you cope? Did you find a way to laugh through it like I did with my little silly clips at the end of the episode?
Drop your stories in the comments — let’s create a space to share, support, and maybe even laugh at the unpredictable messiness of life together. 🤍

Life has a way of piling things on all at once.
This week tested me in a very real way, and I caught myself right at the edge of an old pattern—the spiral. The panic. The “why does this keep happening to me?” feeling.
But something was different this time.
Instead of letting chaos take the wheel, I paused and chose differently. Not forced positivity. Not pretending everything was okay. Just choosing not to give my peace away.
Tonight’s episode is about how to keep from spiraling when life erupts into chaos—and the small mindset shifts that changed everything for me.
Before then, I want to ask you:
💭 What’s something that’s been testing your peace lately?
You’re not alone here. We’re figuring this out together 🤍

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the difference between arguing and actually fixing things.
Problem solving asks:
What’s broken?
Who’s affected?
What would help—right now?
Politics often turns that into sides, labels, and endless debates that go nowhere.
This space is about practical thinking, compassion, and solutions that make real life better—not shouting matches or team jerseys. We may not agree on everything, but we can stay curious, respectful, and focused on what helps.
Progress doesn’t come from being louder.
It comes from being thoughtful—and willing to do the work.
Let’s keep choosing problem solving over politics. 🤍
