Buried under 8 years of 'stuff' in a dusty garage... I think I've found my next potential project. π΅οΈββοΈ It hasn't seen the sun since 2018. This MGB has been sitting in this exact spot for nearly a decade. The tires are flat, the brakes are likely seized, and I have no idea if the engine even turns over. Can anyone guess the exact year and model from the tail lights? And more importantly... Will it RUN AND DRIVE?
βThe goal: Uncover it, drag it out, and see if it has any life left. Who wants to see the full revival? π οΈ
Hopefully it will land with me early march, so i will keep everyone updated on progress. π
It appears our favourite Maxi is rather difficult to find parts for. So I am just wondering if anyone has any tips on getting new or second hand parts. I can find a few things I need but the hard parts to find are a FUEL TANK, and a FRONT LEFT HUB ASSEMBLY WITH DRIVESHAFT. Im working hard to try and get a video together to finally get it RUNNING AND DRIVING under its own steam!!
If anyone knows of one hiding somewhere that may be worth getting parts off then please let me know!
17,000 views on the Maxi in a week... you guys are incredible! To say thanks, the Triumph Stag 'No Spark' mystery drops tomorrow morning at 10 AM. It took 3 years to find these 2 wires.... β‘οΈπ
The newest video on the Autin Maxi revival has gone crazy! Thanks to everyone who has watched so far, and welcome to all the new subscribers! Im over the moon with how popular it has been in the first day, so thank you all for watching and commenting!
LIVE AT 6PM! New video asking the question - can you start an Austin Maxi after 35 YEARS in a barn without swapping ANY PARTS?? So grab a cup of tea and watch me try and get the old girl going again! Will it run? Find out later today. Its a good one....
STRAP ON YOUR COWBOY BOOTS GUYS, THERES A NEW VIDEO OUT TODAY AT 5.30PM!
Its been a while chaps, I do apologise, but today is a nice slide back into interesting and hopefully sometimes funny videos on repairing classic cars.
Today I will be chucking a pertronix electronic ignition system on a cool 1967 Ford Mustang 289ci V8 motorr. All AMERICAN MUSCLE! (Said in a generic American accent)
So do me a favour, when you see the video, jump on and give it a little like and a comment, and let me know what you think!
Wow, what an incredible milestone! I'm absolutely thrilled to announce that Vaudrey's Classics has officially hit 1,000 subscribers! After nearly two years of sharing my classic car repair journey with you all, it's genuinely amazing to finally reach this number, and it truly wouldn't have happened without every single one of you clicking that subscribe button and watching my videos. Your support, comments, and enthusiasm for rusty metal and grease have kept the spanners turning and the cameras rolling. Thank you so much for being the best community a mechanic could ask for! I promise there are lots more interesting repairs, restorations, and mechanical adventures lined up, so keep an eye out for plenty of exciting videos over the next few months!
NEW VIDEO OUT TODAY 5.30PM! Look out for a brand new video covering a full service on an MGB GT! Out now for members, but live publicly later on today! Alex.
Not to worry fellas! New video out tomorrow at 5.30! And even earlier for members. I just finished editing and currently uploading, so if you want to see a 1950s British car firing up for the first time in years, look out for the video coming very soon!!
Yes guys! Apologies for no upload for a week, there is a video in the chamber that needs finishing off after a short break on holiday last week. Normal service shall be resumed, and plenty of proper cool cars on the horizon ππππ
