Why I Choose a Boring Life is what I shared in my last video. I spent my 20s and 30s chasing curiosity like it was going out of style. Still do. But somewhere in my 40s, I had a realization that the life I’d been calling “boring” was just… life that didn’t require a highlight reel.
Turns out, “boring” was coded for “doesn’t fit our collective dopamine addiction.” These days, I speak when I actually have something I want to share. I’ve stopped treating every social situation like an audition to be liked or know . I really appreciate a good two way conversation, actually conversing. I can also say I’m fully comfortable being the awkward quiet person rather than engaging in whatever doesn’t serve me. Call it growth. Call it giving up. It’s honestly the same energy.
I do things alone now without that weird shame about not conforming to a certain way. Would I love to find my people? Sure. Am I going to force connections like I’m speed-dating for friendship? Not for me! Some things happen. Some things don’t. I’ve made peace with both.
Anyone else out here living their “boring” life and secretly loving it? Or is it just me and my houseplants having the time of our lives?
What is a chapter in your life that has come to an end? In my latest video, I discuss the next trap that not many people talk about. This happens when you close one chapter and start writing the next one. Make sure to watch it before making the same mistake I did 😉🧡
How crazy am I to upload 3 videos at once this week?! I couldn't choose which one to start because they were all so different, but make sure to grab your coffee, tea, or snacks! Let's catch up 😆 Thank you for the warm Welcome Backs! 🧡
I wanted to say a “hello” to my followers who have been like long-distance friends to me. Thank you to those who have been checking in on me. I really appreciate you all.
Update: I will upload 2 new videos this week! 1-I wanted to give an updated glimpse of what I've been up to and how I've changed. It has been a non-linear path to rediscovering myself as I hit the 40-year-old mark.
Although I love sharing my stories, I wasn’t sure if I would be making videos again. It had to feel right, and this time it did. I’m doing it for my future self and those who resonate with this path. These upcoming videos will be like a little update, and the other one will feel familiar 🤭
Here is a sneak peek into something I’ve made recently and my beautiful new backyard that I get to call home. It’s filled with trees and animal sounds, an occasional gunshot from the farmer scaring off some animals, but I’ve been able to relax for a bit… so all good!
I hope you are all doing well and thriving! Please let me know what’s up, and stay tuned for tomorrow’s video!
Hello! This Sunday's video will be a special one. I have some interesting news to share with you. It's a very unusual shift I've taken but it's an idea I've had for so long. I'm finally taking the leap to go for it! *Hint: Gardening will be incredible!
Exploring Washington for the first time 🙌🌲 There is definitely a different type of spirit amongst these mountains and trees. That’s what makes exploring the woods so interesting, you can feel it’s soul.
Hello lovely friends! This is part of my upcoming video this weekend. When living alone, I tend to live inside my head a bit too much. Therefore, I love taking the time to look for places outdoors where a I can ground myself and feed the soul with some fresh air, sunshine, and dense dirt. Stay tuned! 🙏💕
Hi Loves! Hope you are well and enjoying your week. I want to share with you my little project that has brought me a lot of joy and abundance. I have never had a garden before and this is my first 🙌 🌱
Sometimes we don’t need to find a big purpose in life to do something meaningful. The little things can make all the difference 😊
Been on the road learning how to solo-trip. I had no idea I would ever be doing something like this. When you start to challenge each comfort level within your life, it becomes freeing to see how much you can do for yourself. 😌💕
