I’m Joy. There is a real woman behind this channel, and everything here comes from something I have lived, needed, or wanted to understand through the Bible.
Guided by Joy began during a frightening night at home, in a season of grief. I created “You Are Never Alone,” the worship song I needed to hear. That song became this channel.
Most people don’t find Guided by Joy because everything is going great. Usually something hurts. You’re tired, grieving, worried, overwhelmed, or your mind won’t shut up.
I get it. I live with MS, and when life gets heavy, I run to Jesus.
Here you’ll find 100-word prayers, night prayers for anxiety and sleep, Gospel Girl Confessions, personal testimony, Scripture, Christian worship, and soaking music.
I don’t have faith figured out. I create what I have needed because I keep needing Jesus too.

Everyone knows the name Jezebel. Almost nobody knows what she actually did.
Yes, she painted her eyes. She also persecuted the prophets of God, defended the worship of Baal, threatened Elijah, and arranged the death of an innocent man over a vineyard using letters, a royal seal, false witnesses, and people willing to follow orders.
This is Episode 1 of Unsaved & Shady, a first-person dramatized retelling based on Jezebel's story in 1 Kings and 2 Kings.

Holiday grief is real. 💔
Years ago a dear friend and I made a promise: if one of us went Home first, we wouldn’t come back to scare the other, we’d send hearts.🌬🤍
