Simplify Your Product Titles for a Better Buyer Experience! 🛍
Clear, concise titles help buyers decide faster. However, in an effort to increase exposure, many sellers overuse keywords or phrases, leading to "information overload," which diminishes the buyer's shopping experience.
Amazon is updating title requirements:
🆕 Effective January 21, 2025:
- Word limit: Titles must be under 200 characters, including spaces.
- No special characters: Symbols like !, $, ?, (, ), ^, etc., are not allowed unless part of a brand name.
- Keyword repetition: Words can appear no more than twice (exceptions: prepositions, articles, and conjunctions).
🔍 Policy Highlights:
- Applies to most categories (except media) on all Amazon sites.
- Non-compliant titles will have a 14-day correction window.
- AI-generated title suggestions will be applied automatically if no action is taken.
Update your titles in Manage All Inventory—listings will stay active during this process.
