Pacific Coast Miniatures

Hi, I'm Marc, a creator of miniature worlds, whether it's model railroading or dioramas. My goal with this channel is to inspire, entertain and educate.

Building miniatures bring us to imaginary worlds we can only dream of or remind us of worlds we’ve been to or dream of going to. And now with the advent of affordable, high quality 3d resin printers, these miniature worlds are easier to create.

Join me on the fascinating journey inside the world of miniatures.

The channel has reached 1000 subscribers! I'm very grateful for all my subscribers, comments and likes that I've received so far. Thank you! 🙏

Yes, I realize I am very behind in posting new videos. Sorry about that. Since the start of this year I've unfortunately had almost no motivation to do much modelling and videos for this channel. Partly might be that my daytime IT job has been super busy and I just don't have the energy in the evening and even on weekends to do much.

Hoping that with spring on it's way with better weather and a vacation from work that is coming up soon, I'll be able to get back to modelling and start posting regular videos. Lots of cool projects in the pipeline. But now is a good time to catch up on any videos you may have missed - remember to like, comment and subscribe if you haven't already as that will help with my motivation. 😊

Wishing you all happiness, good health and peace in what is currently a turbulent world.

In my last poll I asked what video I should publish next and unanimously everyone that voted wanted a video of behind the scenes on my model railroad, so that's what I'm working on this weekend.

Got the script and clip list created - taking video clips this morning around the layout. Let me know in the comments below if there's anything in particular you're interested in me covering and I'll add it if it's not already on the list.

I have a few folders of video clips from various 3D printed projects I've put together over the past few months, ready to be edited into videos for you. Plus an idea to publish a video of behind the scenes on my N scale model railroad.

Which one would you like to see me publish first to kick off 2025?

Happy Holidays! Hope your holidays give you some time to catch up on projects. Currently working on this RC model from 3dsets.com Had hoped to be done before Christmas but it's taking a bit longer as I'm also recording the full build and doing full lighting. Definitely not my usual scale, it's 1/8 scale and huge! (too big to fit in one photo!)

Two of my recently 3d printed projects. The red "Rescuer" was built in the summer and the yellow/black tractor and flatbed trailer has been built these past few months and still needs some final touches.

Both are from files purchased through 3dsets.com and are in 1/16 scale. The tires on the semi were all 3d printed using TPU filament.

I started planting some trees! Many more to come, still have to make the taller mid and even taller foreground trees to have forced perspective.

How many modelling projects do you usually have on the go at the same time?

Right now I have about 5 and tend to jump from one to another according to my mood and what I want to work on in the moment. And of course I have many waiting in the wings for when the current projects are done.
