One year ago today is the day I brought Piper home. I'm not sure if I ever told the story of how we got Piper but I didn't know at all. While I was trying horses I kept being told my trainer was looking to lease a horse for her friends daughter. Deep down I really hoped it was going to be for me but it was very unlikely. I had tried one other horse then Piper the other horse wasent it at all he was very unfit and couldn't do much so that was an immediate no. I had tried Piper and she was amazing. My trainer told me that her friend was considering leasing Piper and that on December 1st she would come with us and try Piper too. If she liked Piper we had braught the trailer to being her back to her farm. (Keep in mind I was told about the friends daughter and the friend but I never met them it was me and my trainer trying the horses) So we get there and just like I had been told my trainer had braught her trailer so the trailer being there wasent a surprise. So we get there and we go in and almost everyone except me knew what was happening but no one says anything. We go in say hi to everyone and I get told to go with the barn owner to get Piper from the paddock. So I leave to go to the paddock with the trainer and when i come back i see that everyone has name tags on and that's when the surprise happened(My mom and trainer said the friends name was Sarah). And I see that my whole family has tags that said names then they give me a tag that says Sarah's daughter and that's when it clicks. Piper was my lease and it felt like the world was going to explode I was so happy and shocked. So we loaded her into the trailer and braught her home. When I got to the barn she already had a stall and tack ready that was being lend to me so I rode her and we had a mini party. That was the day my journey with Piper started one year ago. I miss Piper so much and I wish we had more time. I'm so grateful that I got the opportunity to lease such an amazing mare and meet so many great people along the way. This last year has been a complete rollercoaster almost everything in my life changed but it was all for the better and I'm so happy I had Piper with me along the way.
I'm a person that hates change and this year since Piper came into my life everything has changed and everytime I went to her and she helped me through it.
First I changed tkd club then I moved houses then I changed barns then finally I changed schools. It was all for the better but I'm so glad I had someone with me. The tkd club move wasn't hard I was done with the people there and the only person that meant anything to me was changing clubs with me and she is still my bestie. Moving houses at first I didn't like it but now I love my new house(I moved like 15 minutes away). Changing barns was hard really hard I went from a quiet private barn where I could ny own thing and was almost always alone now it's a busy place with lots of people and I cant do my own thing not like before. I've grown to like the new barn it will never be the same as it was and I definitely miss the old barn. Finally changing schools was really hard going into high school without knowing anyone at all was scary really scary I didn't know what to do I was a complete mess the first week of school getting lost between classes and not knowing where to go but even then I didn't regret moving schools. Now it's one of the best decisions I have made and I'm so much happier where I am now I don't miss my old friends or anything about the old school. I get to do so much stuff now that I couldn't even dream about at the old school. Moral of the story everything happens for a reason.
This last year has had its rough patches but overall I'm so glad I had an amazing mare to get me through it.

I forgot to make this post oups
But I rode a new pony for my lesson. I rode Maya!! She is a bit sassy but is really fun to ride. I definitely struggled but I had fun. Her canter is soooooo smooth like it's fun to sit. I had a great ride and I took a bunch of pictures of her smiling before my lesson.

I have a snow day today

I was supposed to go on a trip with vand after school so we are trying to figure out if we can still go. We had booked a bus and the bus might be cancelled. We where going to TYWO. We still have our tickets thougt so if we dont have a bus a bunch of us are driving there. Just south of me/where the trip is has like no snow so I think we will be able to go anyway

Not sure if this interests anyone but I have Instagram now!
I have 2 acc one is a family acc so my mom runs it and it's mostly videos and pictures from sports as well as music stuff
The second one is my acc I run it but my mom will put some stuff on there too. I post a lot of just random stuff on there. The main thing is that like 10 minutes after my ride the vids and picks are already up on insta

I had an amazing night at the royal yesterday!
I got the halter plate for piper's halter
I got to meet the canadian show jumping team!!!
And I watched the whole evening performance and it was awesome.
Only thing is I didn't get home until like 1 30 am

I rode Cash!!!
He was so good and the azure set fit him really well. We did a small cours to practise for the inbarn show this weekend. I think I jumped really well and I had nice straight lines. At the end we got to redo one jump of our choice so I did a diagonal. I jumped really well but I lost one stirrup like a stride before the jump. So I jumped with one stirrup I was a bit off balance but I survived.
I have no idea who o will be riding for the show so idk how it will go but what matters is having fun. I really want to be on Cash but he's definitely a favorite and a lot of people want him so I probably wont be riding him.

Also going back to the Royal today!!!! I'm watching the evening paid performance but will be there part of the afternoon so probably will buy some stuff.

I think I might ride a new horse last week my trainer told me to watch one of the ponies in the group after me and said I will ride her sometime soon. Also they are getting new horses so....

If not I might be on Otis or Cash
