This video turned out longer than I initially thought, but that's the way it is when I start writing about shit that I love - art direction, sound design, Walter Murch's editing, Rhythm and Blues music, and the cinematic history of Oz. This world captivated me ever since I watched the classic movie without understanding a word. It's probably one of the first movies I ever saw, or at least one one of the first that got etched into my memory, so in my mind The Wizard of Oz is cinema and cinema is The Wizard of Oz. In the past few months I've been hard at work finishing post production & doing an early screening for my new short film "A Graying Lunatic's Song". I'm incredibly proud of what the team and I achieved with this film, and sometime in the future I'll be able to share more from it with you :)
ANYWAY I'm back to working on video essays for YouTube, I have a couple lined up for the next little while and the first one is coming out very soon. Stay tuned. It's gonna be SWEET.
