So where things are right now:

- Decided to make everything 3D. Profile picture and the visualizer is going to be remodeled in Blender. I hope this won't take me too long.

- Bought extra guitars to bring my production guitar set to amount of 5. They cover every key I could think of creating music with, which might give a hint where my music is going toward in the future. I'm going to need a whole lot of practice around these parts.

- I decided to overhaul my mixing. It's really not been where I've wanted it to be for years, so it's time to update it to the current standards and finally get that modern aggressive processing up and going.

- I've set up over 20 drafts in an updated style to be finished and released over time. I might accord with algorithmically optimal release schedules or I might not, we'll see. There's a lot of silent work to do initially, but it should result in a regular upload schedule after some time as multiple finished songs get buffered for release.

- IV3 might be coming someday, ever so bigger. This means my time will also be dedicated for the game music again. This in turn means I need to work very hard to get this release buffer up and going - considering I have every hour of every day available right now. It's a race against time and I'm going to make sure there's plenty for you all to hear, instead of going silent like last time.

- Something something Madness Combat.

There's so much to juggle around at once, but I think it all comes together in an explosion of changes and new content eventually.

The murmurs of a next Era...

Well look at that, our collab that we sent to FORM All Nighter Vol 10 also pops up in DubstepGutter!

Not at all how I expected to find myself there.

The Snowblind remix is out!

We didn't end up being winners, nor runner-ups in the remix competition, but it was fun to create regardless.

Shoutout to Modus and Agente.001 for being winners though! Go check their stuff out, Agente.001 especially has some orchestral dubstep under his belt for you all to hear.

Talurre and I just submitted our work to the Au5's Snowblind remix competition - You'll get to hear the track itself on Friday!

Winners will be announced quite soon, a bit over a day from now. Who knows where we'll be placed in the competition, but I'm quite satisfied with the result anyhow!

Now it's time for me to move on to finishing an another collab within this month. A relatively unusual collaboration.

Also, an another pretty cool thing just happened: Krinkels, the creator of Madness Combat series, just commissioned me to create the soundtrack for his next animation work that'll be finished in September! I've been such a fan of the series on Newgrounds ever since I was a kid, so it's a pretty wild feeling to actually contribute to the series after all these years.

Momentum is building up.

Alright, an another quick status update:

- I'm almost done with all the remaining Intravenous 2 OST work. The game is getting a 1.4 update with some new levels, so there will be three new soundtracks to be released in August 7th!

- Entered a remix contest with Talurre, collaborating to remix Snowblind by Au5. The winners will be announced in August 13th.

- Once my time isn't so constricted, it's time to finish off some of the projects that need that last 10% to get done. There's plenty of those for sure, so we'll see if there's going to be a steady drip feed of new tracks after all this.

- Got myself an iPad so I can finally make use of my drawing habit and learn to draw my own cover arts and other stuff. Gonna take a while, but I'm intending to replace all the cover arts with some custom made artwork.

That is, I'm never using AI again for anything ever. Not for images, not videos, not audio (never allowed it into my work in the first place), nothing. That's for sure. Everything must be made by myself so the art becomes as personal as possible, flaws and all. Perhaps at times I'll commission people, but I like to keep this whole thing self-made as far as I can at the moment.

I think it's time to start making occasional status updates.

So! Here's where things are now:

- Collab with Talurre is 90% done. Just need to work on detailing and some mixing tweaks. Might be the next track to be published, quite likely.

- I'm working on making more dynamic audio reactive backgrounds with Touchdesigner. I have the first one finished (which I might use on Talurre collab video), but plenty variety would be good to have across different tracks. For that I need to learn to use the software in a deeper way, which may take some time.

- I've been hired to do a couple more soundtracks for Intravenous 2, as it is getting an update with more content. Deadline is in August, so it is not going to consume me like before.

- Collab with one of my non-producer friends is about 30% done. Full structure and idea is down, but is in severe need of content. I'm quite surprised how much I enjoy working on it.

- Collab with DJ Striden is about 50% done. Full structure is down, but I need to add plenty more sound design and instrumentation and other things to make it sound more fleshed out. The track actually has vocals, which I haven't worked with in ages.

- Collab with Derpcat has been started. I've got the stem files to get it started, but I need to get around to working on them on my turn at some point.

- Collab(s) with Uxvellda have been going on in the background for quite some time, having full song structures down already. We just got to get around to finishing them eventually.

- Collab with Phorizon has been going on for quite some time. An another project that has to be worked to the finish line, I like the sound of the project.

- Collab with ARK Music, primarily a pianist, has been going on for a while. While song structure is down, I might have to redo the whole project as the direction isn't to my liking. Might take some time to get done.

- A couple singles are being produced on the side. On one of those, I decided to focus more on bass design to get back up to speed with Serum 2 and all that. The entire song structure is up, but I need to flesh it out with detailing and content.

- I've collected stems of 43 songs I've made in the past years, but never ended up finishing and abandoned them. Now today, having relistened to plenty old projects like these, I thought it was time to just crack down and finish them all over time.

- I've kept making a few drafts for singles every now and then, hoping some of them spark some inspiration for a full project involvement. There's been more focus on bass design and electronic feel, as I think that aspect needs to be revived more in the future to complete the current style.

- Beyond all of this activity, I've taken it a bit easy and take some time to relax after the work I've done for the Intravenous 2 project. The past two months have been more focused on self-care to avoid any impending burnout. I'm getting a sense I'm willing to get back to working more again, now that I've given my mind some space to breathe.

So yeah. That about sums it up.

I think I'll start making these kind of status updates every now and then, due to having been pretty silent about things in the past. Just to inform you all what to expect, and let you know that things are indeed happening in the background, despite a slow pace of uploads (which I really hope I can speed up over time, without ruining quality and authenticity in some way).

Giving exact time predictions isn't something I can really do that well, that's what I've noticed from the past. I tend to hop between different projects at different times, depending how I feel about them at the time. I find I make my best efforts that way, ensuring the quality of work. So maybe giving occassional status updates might be the better way to go, to give an overall impression of where things are headed and at what pace.

Just finished building and setting up my new studio for a whole new phase of Xtrullor releases.

The new Kii Three speakers are AMAZING and I can't stress enough how great these are for monitoring audio. Truly phenomenal level of detail and balance across the entire spectrum. (...phenomenally pricey too, but it was worth it)

Included is also the new custom Jordan 8-string electric violin, subtly present in the setup.

Some collabs are coming in near future. Some including Talurre, Derpcat, F-777 and more.

Time to get some momentum rolling.

So I got a gig to make more music for Intravenous 2.

An expansion is coming 3rd of March:
The remastered campaign of Intravenous 1 with all the improvements of 2 - music included!

The Steam page is up now, actually. The trailer has a sneak peek of the new music!
store.steampowered.com/app/3391540/Intravenous_2_I…

A short album of 7 tracks (5 remasters, 2 new ones) will be published at release.

After that... I'm finished. I'm then back to making and publishing my own music.
The amount of people waiting to collab with me is quite sizable, as well.

So this is where I've been at since the last release. Took a break, and then began producing this set of music.
