Black Kids White Coats
Black Kids White Coats is an organization, a YouTube channel and a movement to help inspire, educate, and empower black pre-medical and pre-health students to help reach their goal of medical school or health professional school. The entity was created by three medical students at the time: Adanma, Lillian, and Nelson. Currently, the channel features vlogs (like "a day in the life of a medical student"), advice videos, and interviews which highlight the stories and dreams of current black medical students and physicians. The hope of the channel is to inspire the upcoming generation of black students to pursue and explore medicine and healthcare if that is what their heart desires.

Ahmaud Arbery. George Floyd. Breonna Taylor. Three of the most recent lives that have been taken unjustly and inhumanely. There are no words to describe the delicate state of our minds this morning as we reflect on the recent events against precious black lives. Black lives matter is not a statement that is meant to negate the importance of other lives, but rather a statement that is meant to bring awareness to the fact that our society is more concerned with property than the human lives that were abruptly cut short. If this fact does not bother you, then you too are contributing to the problem. In the words of Nelson Mandela “as long as poverty, injustice, and inequality persist in our world, none of us can truly rest”. It is important now more than ever to have these uncomfortable yet absolutely necessary conversations in order to come up with solutions that will bring about the change we so desperately need. #blacklivesmatter
