the hook - the first imagery, or image that puts the brain in action to predict what is going to happening.
example - car at nightime going fast towards a house. in countryside. (horror, immediately hooks people of what is gonna happen)
thriller example - looking in viewfinder of rifle, and not telling what it is shooting. until later on. and police are heading up towards him. fast and slow scene.
every movie or story starts with urgency.
