Seeing how many of you connect with these interviews, and hearing that people weāve featured get stopped on the street because viewers recognize them, has been incredibly rewarding.
Da Nang has been an amazing place to start, but this is only the beginning. Weāre excited to keep sharing honest conversations about life abroad, community, healthcare, visas, and what it really looks like to start over in a new country.
Thank you for being part of this journey. If thereās a topic, or story youād like us to cover next, let us know below š
In our latest interview, Michael (72) talks about why he and his wife didnāt move to Vietnam just for cheap rent or low prices.
For them, itās about:
Finding community in Da Nang (Sunday coffee groups and food meetups)
What healthcare is actually like here (real prices + cancer screening + dental)
Why Vietnam might not be a āforever homeā and the hard truth about aging abroad
If youāve ever thought about retiring abroad, or just trying life in Vietnam for a few years, this one goes way deeper than cost of living breakdowns.
š What would matter more for you, lower cost of living, or stronger community?
š¦ Happy Thanksgiving! And⦠We Hit 4,000 Subscribers! š Thank you all so much for the support. We started this channel just a month ago with one simple idea: share real stories of Americans building new lives abroad. Todayās video is one of the most powerful ones yet.

Now he spends his days teaching English and Chinese to local Vietnamese, building friendships, and even investing in the future of Da Nang. Itās an inspiring reminder that itās never too late to start over.

Weāve been sharing life in Da Nang, Vietnam, but Southeast Asia has so much more to offer.
If we could explore one place next, which would you want to see?
