Hi, I'm GLASYS (Gil Assayas). I'm a pianist & synth player, composer, producer and vocalist.
I love creating original music and also covers (mainly of video game tunes). Over the last decade I've been developing a left hand finger drumming and keyboard technique that allows me to play the bass and drum parts simultaneously. In many of my videos I challenge myself with live arrangements that incorporate this technique, in others I explore new gear, create MIDI art live or try to produce an entire track in an hour - basically, I have a lot of weird ideas and this channel is my place to express them.
I'm influenced by many different styles of music including classical, jazz, rock and electronic. I've been incredibly lucky to collaborate with some amazing musicians such as T-Pain and Todd Rundgren.

Hey friends, I'm really excited to share that I'm releasing a book of sheet music for my MIDI art compositions.
Throughout the last few years I've created and performed dozens of live MIDI drawings but never wrote them down due to their complexity.
I really wanted others to be able to play them as well though, so for the last 6 months I've been carefully notating these compositions in the clearest, most readable way I possibly can.

As a kid I’d often go to my parent’s orchestra rehearsals (they’re both string players) sit on the highest seat of the empty theater and play my favorite Game Boy games.
I’ll never forget the feeling of getting lost in a magical video game world while being immersed in the beautiful, warm sounds of a live orchestra.
I asked the amazing pixel artist Danc3r to capture this setting for my album cover and he absolutely nailed it!
