USPS is raising rates starting July 13, and Priority Mail is taking the biggest hit. Some shipments are increasing by up to 51 percent. These changes affect Commercial Pricing and Connect eCommerce rates across all platforms.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s changing:

Priority Mail rates are increasing in most cases, with many shipments seeing double-digit hikes.

Flat Rate Boxes are increasing by up to 11 percent. Flat Rate Envelopes will stay the same.

Ground Advantage is mostly stable, but some rural areas will see increases up to 14 percent.

Media Mail is decreasing by 2 percent.

Priority Mail Express and International rates are not changing.

As a nonprofit that ships a ton of art supply to disabled adults and those who shop with us, we’ve tested a lot of options over the years. We are not affiliated with PirateShip.com, and they don’t offer affiliate programs, but they’ve consistently been the most affordable shipping tool we’ve found.

OK, I have an auction question for anyone who reads this… For the second Saturday auction in December here

More than half of the stuff I have is completely random donations of things you can buy in a store and are not necessarily crafts… And I mean completely random stuff you would just pick up in a store… Do you think people would enjoy having that
1) as reveal or conceal?
2) show me and let me bid on it.
Everything starts at a dollar either way.

My thought is it’s like Christmas presents and you can choose whether or not to have your Christmas present a secret or opened in front of everyone because if it’s revealed or conceal, I’m actually thinking of wrapping them all…

Keep in mind - their process has cheap shipping (maxes at $8.77 I think - after you buy a few things the total drops to 0) and you know exactly what you're spending, but it's a different setup where payments are immediately after someone wins a bid... have tested it a couple times, but the whole process saves me days in spreadsheets, invoicing, packaging and other tedious tasks...
I am still learning the system here, so please be patient with me.

For anyone who makes less than 50% of the median family income in whatever their county is, they can get a grant up to $7500 and loan up to $20K ... (I think for Fort Myers that is ~32K/year, but ask a FEMA specialist)
