Happy 3 years! 🎉
It's crazy to think that back in 2021, while stuck at home during the pandemic, we published our first video on YouTube sharing activities high school students can do to boost their university supplementary applications.
We started "The Guo Twins" after we got into competitive undergraduate business programs in Canada because we wanted to share advice and tips so other students could feel less stressed with the university application process.
One video led to the next, and we started branching off into student lifestyle videos, experimented with other platforms, including TikTok and Instagram, and got to experience many firsts.
⭐ Hit 1,000 subscribers on YouTube and invited to join the YouTube Shorts Creator Program with a Partner Manager
⭐ Met so many amazing parents and students who have come up to us in our school hallways, at events and even on the streets
⭐ Overcoming the nerves to create interview-style videos with strangers and meeting many cool individuals
⭐ Partnered with amazing brands: Wealthsimple, Ana Luisa New York, Mejuri, and tried go-karting for the first time with K1 Speed Canada
⭐ Spoke at student-led conferences, a business school open house and hopped on 1-1 calls with students
⭐ Attended YouTube’s first-ever Creator Collective event in Toronto, meeting so many hard-working, funny Canadian creators and hearing from the head of YouTube Canada, Andrew Peterson.
Thank you so much for supporting us over the past 3 years; whether you've been an OG subscriber or a recent one, we are incredibly grateful for your support! It's not easy to be vulnerable on camera or to consistently post videos (that's something we are still working on), but you guys have always been patient and given such positive responses when we post videos that took us hours to film and edit.
A huge thank you to our friends, classmates, and family — the first subscribers to "The Guo Twins" — and to our partnering brands and YouTube for believing in us💗.
