It's been over a year and a half since my last real video.

What's up with that?
Well, I'm not a very good writer. I've written around 10 videos over the past year and a half but every time, I'd quickly become unhappy with my writing soon after I began editing. I would write them too quickly and wouldn't consider the paths that I could take to explore the subject in an organized and complete way. It would completely tank my motivation because I was pushing out a video that I wasn't happy with and that I didn't think would entertain or inform people as much as I wanted it to. So, although I was putting in a ton of work to make videos, I had nothing to show for it.

So, what am I doing about this?
Well, I've taken some time to really explore the problems I have with my writing and have taken actions toward solving them. I've started researching much more thoroughly and am citing sources when applicable; I've started slowing down my writing process and rewriting every line multiple times to make sure that I'm happy with how it's communicated; I've started thinking through my ideas outside of my writing time since I have a different mindset; and I've tried my best to put myself in the shoes of my audience to ensure that everything is communicated well.

I've been working on my most complex video by far for around 6 months now, and I have no idea when writing will be done. I'm constantly reading over it and changing things whenever it's useful. I've rewritten the entire thing four times already, and although I like the current iteration so far, I'm sure there will be far more changes to come.

I've also taken steps to fix a few other things I was unhappy with. Mainly my art style. I've started incorporating mixed media in special segments for the sake of veriety and am going for a sort of arts and crafts, Yoshi's Island inspired style. I'm much happier with my branding and art style now, (especially the colours) which will be great for motivating me to edit.

My goal with this channel is to give as many people as I can an interesting and fulfilling experience without being corporate or pandering to demographics who won't care about the topic. I value being genuine to my audience and it's really hard to do that if I don't carefully consider how I communicate what I'm saying.

How will the future of my channel be?
I don't know what my upload schedule will be, but I can assure you all that I will make videos that I'm proud of and try to listen to as much criticism as I can. (Feel free to give your own, just please he nice haha) I really just want to give yall fulfilling experiences. The long wait times will be worth that.

(💙 Also, I've been paying close attention to what's going on in the USA, I was CONSTANTLY checking the results on election night. As a Canadian, all I can say is... Don't give up. Please. You CAN make an impact and form a better future. I'll be trying to help out as much as can and I really hope that you'll all be okay. Especially you trans folks. You are worth it and I love you all so much. Please don't give up. Even though we lost, remember that we still had 68,171,315 people voting for our rights and freedoms. That's 68,171,315 people who still care about us. Epecially for you trans beans, that's 68,171,315 people who still care about YOU. And that number would have been 68,171,316 if I could vote in the USA. 💙)

Sorry for overwhelming y'all with so many community posts recently. This one will be the last. Just thought Id let you all know that I'm going on a a camping trip with my family for a bit and, although I can still work on it on my phone just fine (since it's still just in the writing phase) progress will slow down for a bit since I'd prefer to spend time with my family on the trip. :D

Question for a potential video: How long did it take you to learn the Geometry Dash level editor? Let's say to learn at least 80% of the features.

Remember, there's no shame in taking a long time. I took around a year to learn that much! Just say how long it took, and be respectful of others who took longer.
