We are deeply saddened by the passing of Janie Bradford, a pioneering songwriter and cherished member of the Motown family.
From co-writing Motown’s first hit, “Money (That’s What I Want),” to “Too Busy Thinking About My Baby,” first recorded by The Temptations in 1966, Janie helped create music that will live on forever.
Known as the “brightest light in the room,” she will be dearly missed by her Motown family. Our deepest condolences go out to her family, friends, and everyone who knew and loved her.
Rest in peace, Janie. 🕊️

Yesterday, we celebrated the birthday of our longtime manager, dear friend, and family member, Shelly Berger! 🎉
Since joining Motown in 1966, Shelly’s vision and leadership have helped guide The Temptations from the Copacabana and national television to Broadway and beyond. After nearly six decades together, we remain deeply grateful for his friendship, dedication, and commitment to carrying our music and legacy forward for new generations.
Please join us in wishing Shelly a very happy belated birthday! ❤️🎂

The Temptations are deeply saddened by the passing of a true musical titan and dear friend, Harold Wheeler.
As the brilliant orchestrator for Ain't Too Proud, Harold masterfully brought our story and the Classic Five sound to life on the Broadway stage. The music world has lost a giant, but his genius lives on in the harmonies he left behind.
Our deepest love and prayers go out to his wife, Hattie Winston, and his family.
