Farwell to a railtouring company legend !
Founded in 1973 by Peter Watts and Tony Fielding as F&W Railtours, it was rebranded as Pathfinder Railtours in 1987.
Charity: The company raised over £500,000 for various charities through on-train raffles and events.
Pathfinder Railtours was a prominent UK excursion operator that specialized in scenic day trips and enthusiast-led "track bashing" tours for over 50 years. Known for using heritage diesel and steam locomotives, they frequently traversed rare freight-only lines and unusual routes across the British railway network.
The final tour, "The Pathfinder Finale," ran on December 20, 2025, marking the end of the brand's extensive history.
Pathfinder railtours will always be remembered ❤️
