Sander is half American and half Filipino. Growing up without knowing his father, he was always searching — for truth, identity, and belonging. When he learned that his wife’s sister was attending iERA New Muslim classes, it sparked his interest. He decided to attend the classes himself, and there he accepted Islam. Then came the tests. First, he walked away from his family’s pig-meat business for the sake of his faith. Then he was tested with cancer. By Allah’s permission, he overcame both through Tawheed. Today, Sander is giving dawah and volunteering for iERA — helping others find the guidance he once searched for.
