Being white, blonde and tall it was difficult going anywhere in India without people asking me for a selfie.

But, ever the optimist, I decided to make the best of my new-found fame.

Not knowing ofcourse, I would end up on a white horse, modelling beachwear for an Indian designer and his camera crew.

Honestly, I couldn't have found a better brand for launching my carreer as a photomodel.

J'ascano is slick, stylish and sustainable!

I thought I had seen it all...

But in India everything is possible.

I just shared my most personal video ever.

It’s a new cinematic vlog style.

Which gave me the possibility to let you get closer than ever before.

I always wanted to create something like this.

So I thought I would give myself a try for Christmas :)

The video got images from over 5 days of shooting in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

A time in my trip where I was searching for inner strength.

I know I skipped a week in uploading even though I try to post weekly for you.

But every video I just give it my all.

And this one needed a little more.

I'm so grateful we can make this journey together.

You guys mean the world to me.

Hope you enjoy.

Love, Namaste & Happy 2024

Soon more from Mumbai and Goa ✌️

"El Salvador!!"

is my answer every time people ask me my favorite country in Latin America.

"But why?"

"Because there is no country where I've felt as welcome as in El Salvador."

Especially as a solo backpacker, this means the world.

So I couldn't just leave Latin America without repaying all the love I received on my first visit.

Limited in time, I went to the heart of it all.

Plaza Libertad.

Any place where people have fun and dance all day is paradise to me.

Armed with flowers, which I bought in La Paz (Bolivia) I flew to San Salvador.

The moment I set my feet on the land of El Salvador was the moment I felt home again.

Watch my latest video to see how I surprised mi chero's, guanacos & bichas bonitas.

Gracias a todo EL Salvador. Siempre en mi corazon ❤️. Que Dios nos reúna nuevamente.

I'll admit I was a bit nervous getting back to YouTube after my break due to sickness...

But I couldn't have wished for a better country to get back on the horse (literally in my first video 🤭)

Peru had it all: beaches, mountains, jungle, good food and (most importantly) great people

That's why it didn't take long to push myself once again into extraordinary situations so I could show you realities you didn't know existed

And I'm more than happy looking back on my time in Peru

Meeting Quechua and Shipibo communities, boiling rivers and natural wonders, but also learning about the struggles of the people

Especially the last part gave me a better understanding of Latin countries and a deeper love for its people

Muchisimas gracias a Peru

Les llevare siempre en mi corazon 🫶

After 3 years of dreaming about going to Colombia I can't say it was what I expected.

Sickness and more hardships were waiting for me.

I even came close to cutting my trip short and booking a flight home.

I'm happy I didn't.

Sure it was though to deal with a lot of problems by yourself in a foreign country.

But through these hardships came some important lessons:

1. Life can be hard. Always asume people have a good reason for not showing their best.

2. Everyone is trying their best. That deserves sympathy. Also for yourself.

3. When all goes south, take a break. Create space to recharge and reconnect with your inner purpose.

Thanks to all great Colombians and travelers who showed me love on my lowest.

Y a Colombia, esté listo para mi regreso ✌️

Who says Costa Rica is expensive?

Well everyone...

Time to put things upside down.

Monday I arrived to Costa Rica for the Crazy Costa Rica Travel Challenge!!

For 10 days I will travel through Costa Rica while trying to spend as little as possible from my $1000 budget.

Not because I'm Dutch (maybe a little), but because everything I save, I will donate to the Costa Rican Humanitarian Foundation.

So a lot of hitchhiking, couchsurfing, being Dutch, awesome NGO stuff and Pura Vida coming to you soon!! 🔥🔥

I will release 10 episodes. First one coming by the end of March.

Follow me on insta in the meanwhile: robverloop_

After 4 weeks of traveling and videomaking it was time for a little retreat.

Time to reflect on past adventures and find new inspiration for the road ahead.

So I followed the road to Puerto Escondido and Chacahua.

Hence this week a little less content than what you are used to.

I wanted to give you an update earlier, but unfortunately wifi here is scarce..

Now I'm fully charged with some fresh ideas for my last weeks in Mexico!!

Thank you so far for all the support! 🙏

And stay tuned 📻

Soon more content from the beautiful Oaxaca and Chiapas! 🌄🛖

P.S. For those who'd like to see a little more content behind the screens, follow me on insta "robverloop_"

Peace! ✌️
