A new innovation in functional background music.
Including;
The stimulatory sounds of 'ZAK ,
and
The melodic sweetness of 'PLEX.
This channel was created by MUZAK aficionados
for education and research into our history,
when MUZAK's stimulus progression
became the soundtrack of our lives.
This channel features MUZAK recorded
fifty years ago on standard reel to reel tapes.
The tapes did not age well, you may hear occasional
tape hiss, squeaks, warbling and audio drop outs.
I salvaged every audible bit possible for archival purposes.
These MUZAK recordings were sourced
from telephone line installations and
radio broadcasts via SCA receivers.
They do contain, telephone line noise, hums, beeps,
signal tones, radio cross talk, clicks and fades.
In the CONDENSATION videos,
per MUZAK"s formula of 90% music saturation,
PSYCHOLOGICAL BREAKS follow
sequences of STIMULUS PROGRESSION.

MUZAK 4 ANCIENT ALIENS ....SPRING BREAK 2024
I made a little music mix for our SPRING BREAK PARTY down here in South Florida.
These are all remixes found on YouTube, I reworked and edited them to make the mix.
Thanks to all the music artists, mixers, and remixers, professional and amatuer.
A couple friends and I have been exchanging music CDs
of our mixes over the past decade or so.
My mixing and editing skills are barely a step above using a razor blade and tape.
I have been labelling my mixes as " MUZAK 4 ANCIENT ALIENS " for years.
I thought it was clever, however it obviously does not contain any actual MUZAK.
This mix contains older songs ( 30 years or more ), that's the stuff I danced to back then.
I like the remixed versions of older tunes with better bass and drums added.
I do have other mixes with newer tunes
sprinkled in amongst the old retro stuff.
I may post a few of those eventually.

To re-create the original MUZAK live feed,
the selections have been grouped into quadrants
ending with a Christmas or Classical themed arrangement
and followed by a brief Psychological Break.
I utilized ALL the selections from the available
MUZAK promotional albums and tapes
found on the YouTube channels listed above,
since three of the MUZAK albums are only
seasonal Christmas arrangements,
the project turned into a Christmas - time theme.

MUZAK LIVE FEED OCTOBER 1973
To celebrate this tape being recorded 50 years ago this week.
I decided to re-post the previous shorter vidoes
LR BK 34 thru 37 and LR BK 31 thru 33
and put them back together into two larger videos.
This will allow them to be experienced as they were
originally broadcast 50 years ago on October 6th and 7th of 1973.

developed by 3M and was in use from 1965 until the 1990s.

I am currently uploading the last of the MUZAK tapes
from the L/R archive on our companion channel ULTRAFABUZAK .
The link is on our Home page, check it out.
It contains various selections from MUZAK RED Transcription discs.

Concerning MUZAK CONDENSATION RED :
According to the L/R archive, these selections were recorded
from 16-inch RED MUZAK Transcription Records fifty years ago.
These discs represent the first generation of MUZAK,
when workers manned multiple turntables playing
pre-selected cuts from the MUZAK record library.
I was not provided with a list of titles, dates or artists.
It is possible many of these selections appear on other Transcription Records posted online.
Psychological Breaks were added per MUZAK's formula of 90 percent music saturation.
The audio volume is not compressed as in later MUZAK recordings.
Thus it can vary from very soft to quite loud within the same selection.
Also, there are the same old audio tape noise issues and vinyl record pops etc...enjoy !!!

this is the last of my archive to be uploaded, there is no more.
I will now concentrate more on our companion channel ULTRAFABUZAK, check it out.🎵

In the early 70s, the owner of the tape personally visited his local MUZAK affiliate
and was shown the seperate tape machine that played the MUZAK Christmas themed arrangements.
The tape machine would switch ON when signaled by a tone recorded on the master tape.
The Christmas selection would replace the stimulator
at the end of the Stimulus Progression quadrant before the break.
Starting at twice an hour (Thanksgiving evening USA) in late November
and then four times an hour closer to Christmas day.
Being a MUZAK subscriber, the owner knew the pattern and waited
to record the Christmas songs on his reel to reel tape deck.
The tape has a few repeats, a couple different versions of the same song,
and some songs already available on MUZAK promotional albums.
I will upload all the Christmas songs, and a re-creation of the live MUZAK feed
with the Christmas songs inserted as they were broadcast.
I am reviewing it now and adjusting some levels etc...audio quality issues.
I will post it soon here, and on our companion channel ULTRAFABUZAK.
