Open Door OC explores the Bible through history, culture, and language — helping viewers understand Scripture in its original context. Hosted by Professor RC (M.A. Psychology, M.A. Theology & Language), our videos take an educational look at how ancient audiences understood these texts and how that insight informs faith and life today.
We’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit media ministry producing educational resources on biblical history, misunderstood passages, and Jesus’ teachings in context. Our goal is to make Scripture accessible, accurate, and relevant — without religious solicitation or agenda.
Whether you’re a student, seeker, or lifelong learner, you’ll find thoughtful, compassionate discussions that connect faith with understanding.

Some Bible verses have been used to justify exclusion. But when studied in context—linguistically and historically—their message is far more compassionate and inclusive than many realize. Watch this clip, then check out the full version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2Ioz...

We’re currently re-editing our upcoming video that explores the often-misused “clobber passages” in Leviticus. Unfortunately, our ad campaigns promoting this educational content have been repeatedly flagged, which has delayed its release.
We sincerely apologize for the delay. Our team is carefully reworking sections of the video to ensure it meets YouTube’s advertising and language guidelines, allowing us to share this important teaching more widely.
Thank you for your patience and ongoing support as we continue our mission to help people understand what Scripture truly teaches — in its proper historical, cultural, and linguistic context.

Our new series of Mark's gospel in context is challenging us to shed our old wineskins of religious traditions that hinder people from learning the truth about who Jesus is. If we can't shed the old wineskins of the past how will we ever become ready to become filled with the new wine of Jesus' teachings.

Welcome to our new series on The Highlights Of Judges:
The further away from the Jesus' ways a leader falls, the more chaotic the world becomes for that person. It's the "Chaos Principle." This is why "worldly" leaders cannot ever secure lasting peace or true victories and successes for themselves. And if these worldly people are leading communities, cities, or a nation, their ungodliness will undo as much established order as they can by releasing their own chaos back into this world.
When leaders in whom the Spirit of the Good God resides rises and restores order, and brings their communities, cities, and nations out of chaos once again, then we see the insanity of that same sick cycle that "Israel" experienced over and over again throughout the book of Judges.
Today, we can see this very thing happening in real time in our own country. When we choose unprincipled, power-hungry, immoral, greedy people for leadership positions, we release Chaos back into the world and they will undo the good orderly direction we are called to move forward in. The more times we continue moving in this cycle, the worse each next leader is for both the people and for the nation.
Our choices matter. Our leaders matter. If we refuse to choose principled, good hearted, compassionate, moral people for leadership positions, we will continue to spiral downward into more and more chaos until the next chance comes for us to choose more wisely.
The choice is always ours to make. We can choose the way of Jesus or we can choose the ways of Chaos. One leads to life and peace for all of us, and the other leads to more chaos and destruction for all of us.
We hope you enjoy this series on The Highlights of Judges. We hope and pray you'll allow the Spirit of Jesus to move you forward and into the place where you can truly love your neighbors as you love yourself.

Were continuing our growing playlist series this summer with some more Hot Button Church Issues. In this playlist we cover a wide range of issues that the evangelical church still struggles with. Issues like Christian Nationalism, Women In Ministry, Demons, The Rapture, Christian and Transgender, Sodom And Gomorrah and many others. We take these issues and put them into their proper context which always shows that God loves all of humanity, God is inclusive, and God is helping us to become more like Jesus who both taught us and showed us how to love our fellow human beings, and to take care of this beautiful world we live in.

We want to wish you all a Happy Celebration of your Holidays and a safe and blessed New Year. Today we look at the Christmas story many of us were taught in our variety of different churches. Was what we were taught about Jesus' birth accurate?
