I have just written this piece on the 20 year old Supreme Court decision in University of Ilorin v Idowu Oluwadare where the Supreme Court upturned the judgment of the trial and appeal courts and held that University of Ilorin was right to have expelled Idowu Oluwadare for examination malpractice.

Universities are autonomous when it comes to internal administration and discipline. The court has repeatedly demonstrated its unwillingness to interfere with this autonomy save where infringement of fundamental rights can be proven.

Appeals, is one of the areas of law on which I've got the most questions on Bar Talk with Ọlá. There are a few of those areas.
