We are the Hintons: Chris, Suzannah, Kiersten, Matthew, and Corbin. We live life on our terms and share our adventures with blogs, vlogs, travel tips & reviews. Our goal is to travel the world, one hop at a time. We're currently living the full-time RV life so we can explore the U.S. with the comforts of our home. That means we also get to explore RV living so we do reviews, etc. on RV products to help others enjoy the RV lifestyle.
In the end, we're travel nerds who didn't know where we wanted to settle down so we decided to search the world for experiences. We want to help others find their path so remember, "Life's an Adventure, Hop On!"

Hinton The Trail

Finding adventure and coming closer as a family was two of our goals when we hit the road back in May 2018. What we found over the next few years is that there are so many families out there taking a step away from "normal" and finding new ways to experience life.

One of those families is ‪@7Aheadfamily‬ who sold their house, bought an RV, and hopped on the trail to new destinations and experiences. Adam & Holly wanted to get their kids out to see the National Parks and to build memories that will last a lifetime. One of their children has nonverbal autism and while he can't tell them what he enjoys in words, he shows them with smiles, laughter, and a lot of energy. It's wonderful to see how their children love being outdoors, especially Ezra's reactions to exploring nature.

They've been chronicling their journeys and their videos are a lot of fun. Their latest one is a capstone of their trips to ALL of the National Parks in the contiguous United States and is AWESOME. You should check it out!

We wanted to take a moment and let everyone know that we're going to slow down on videos for the foreseeable future. We have a ton of content and some great things to share, but finding the time to put the videos together has been harder to come by. For those of you that don't know, every minute of content equals approximately 1-hour of work. Our videos average between 12-16 minutes so you're looking at about two days of work.
When we purchased our 162-year-old farmhouse in Maine we knew it would take some work and it certainly has. The yard is getting closer to being done and as fall/winter approaches we're going to move our efforts inside. There is also the adventure that Chris will be taking next year. He'll be hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2023 and has been starting a new blog, channel, and social media (‪@TrackingHopper‬ ) focused on his preparation for, and journey along, the trail.
Trying to get a new brand off the ground with everything else going on has been a struggle but we need to focus on Tracking Hopper and because of that, videos for Hinton the Trail will probably be more of a monthly thing. Possibly a longer format but we'll cross that bridge when we get to the river and try to cross it. ha ha
Is Hinton the Trail done? Absolutely not. We have a lot of plans for the future. There will be videos, blogs, and social media content.
Thank you so much for all of your support over the years. You're what makes all of this what it is!!!

Thank you,
Chris & Suzannah

What are you looking for?

If you've been following some of our posts you know that we're in the process of some large changes and kind of at a crossroads. We have HUGE things happening over the next year and a half but need some input from you.

We started Hinton the Trail in order to not just share our experiences but to help others travel. In keeping with those goals, we want to improve what we deliver and how we do it. We'd love to hear your thoughts on the below items so drop us a comment, shoot us a DM, email us...whatever. You're part of our adventures!!

Community: YouTube Membership or Patreon program. This would give different levels of experience to you and access to a private HTT group to talk all things travel. Not just comment on our posts. Various levels would get more (i.e. gifts from our trips or location postcards, behind-the-scenes, and blooper videos...maybe even the more candid stuff that gets edited out. Current location updates. Discounts on products and locations. There's a lot we can do with this.)

Videos: Do you want more talking about our lives and experiences, more reviews, more location videos, or just keep it the way we have been.
We've been working on a 15-minute format with more quick cuts and trying to improve pacing...do you like it or do you prefer the original videos?

Newsletter: We had a weekly one for months and then dropped it before the holidays. It needs to come back but would you prefer a weekly or a monthly one? We're leaning toward monthly.

Thank you for being a part of our experience and our adventures. Your engagement is what makes the hopping happen.

What do you want to know??

We’re thinking about doing a YouTube live with another RV family. What questions do you have about RV life, travel, homeschool, trip planning, RV maintenance, etc.?
