I can’t believe it will be two years on December 20th since I last held you in my arms. I miss you more than words can ever express. The pain still feels like a knife through my numb heart.💔

I’ve come to realize that I needed you even more than you needed me. December has become one of the darkest months of the year for me, because December 20, 2023 is when everything changed. It’s like we’ve both died on that day.

I have a beautiful urn painted by Tina M for your ashes, but I still haven’t found the strength to open the box to see it, or to place your ashes inside. I feel that I’ve let you down but i can’t bare to see your ashes.

It feels as though time has stopped, yet somehow it’s passing faster than I can handle.

I mourn not only the loss of you, but the loss of the life I once knew. Because I no longer recognize it without you in it. I miss you so much Victoria Cockatoo.💔
