Hi! I’m April, proud bird mom to seven incredible parrots, each with their own unique story and a very special place in my heart.

But I definitely don’t do it alone. 💕

My mom, Dolores better known as Grandma helps care for, spoil, and love every one of these birds as if they were her own. She has a special bond with Maui… and let’s just say he’s proudly earned the title of Grandma’s favorite. 💚

Whether you’ve been here from the beginning or just found us, thank you for being here.

Many of you know I stepped away after losing my beloved Victoria Cockatoo, helping care for my mom as she bravely battled and beat cancer, grieving the loss of my dad, and focusing on my own health. It was one of the hardest seasons of my life, and I truly didn’t know if anyone would still be here when I returned.

Instead, you welcomed us back with open arms, and I’ll never forget that.

This carousel is our way of introducing every member of our feathered family. Each one has changed my life in their own way and has taught me about unconditional love, resilience, patience, hope, laughter, and the gift of second chances.

I hope you’ll enjoy getting to know Puffman, Baby, Thomas, Maui, Quinn, Sammy, Jessie, Victoria Cockatoo, and of course, Grandma Dolores. Their stories are the heart of Parrot Playhouse, and we’re so grateful you’re here to be part of them.
