Hi guys, I'm "Aless" and welcome to my channel! My goal on this platform is to facilitate AUTHENTIC open discussion and deep thinking. This channel is for those who feel like their voices are drowned out and who feel ostracized for thinking or feeling the way they do, and for having strong morals and values.

This and my Shorts channel are my only channels. Please inform me and report anybody trying to impersonate.

If any YouTuber or business wants to potentially collaborate: ItsSimplyAlessContact@gmail.com

Thank you for your interest in my channel and I hope to see you around!

DISCLAIMER: I am not a political channel. I am here to discuss my thoughts and share my opinions, especially on moral/societal issues.

The ability to critically think greatly improves when claims are challenged or debated, and evidence is analyzed for bias. Environments who allow and greatly encourage this produce students who have stronger reasoning skills (Kuhn, 1999). In environments who do not allow this, what will likely happen is information will be blindly accepted which does not allow the practice of free thinking resulting in weaker intellectual growth. Researchers were trying to find out which is more important: IQ or Critical Thinking Skills, so they conducted a study. They found that although IQ is linked to academic achievement, critical thinking skills are more strongly associated with practical decision-making and problem-solving capabilities (Osequeda, n.d.). Intelligence is not enough to be able to go through life’s challenges - critical thinking skills are also crucial. They can keep us safe in situations where there is manipulation and deception occurring.

This raises an important question: is the intellect so powerful and intelligent that free speech threatens those who wish to destroy it? It is necessary to rise up and push back against institutions who continue to restrict and punish those who think differently. Freedom of expression is not just a right, but is crucial to the development of the mind.

These are different parts of an essay I had to write and wanted to share on here.

*context is needed to understand this quote*

By focusing too much on looking a part, such as stereotypical "masculinity" - you lose your sense of humanity

- ItsSimplyAless

Just thought of this quote after watching the first claim on the recent Jubilee video with Piers Morgan. Human qualities like kindness, creativity, vulnerability, gentleness, intelligence aren’t gendered. Hyper-focusing on labels can make you forget the fuller, richer aspects of being human.

I never really recommend apps… but I gotta share this one. 😅

So I tried this cleanup app I found through Reddit and it saved me 15 GB of storage. It compressed a bunch of my videos, deleted duplicates.

I know what these kind of posts may look like, but I'm doing this out of my own free will because I know how annoying constant full storage can be.

"If all mankind minus one were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind.”
- John Stuart Mill, On Liberty (1859)

He argues that even a single dissenting voice holds immense value, because silencing it robs humanity of the chance to challenge its own assumptions.

The majority can be wrong, and truth often begins as a minority opinion. Allowing minority perspectives to be heard is how societies grow wiser, freer, and more just.

The voice of reason doesn’t follow the crowd - it questions where the crowd is going.

(These are not my words. I just had to post this as it connects to the channel)👌 we can be the voices of reason.

people that can't see nuance and refuse to see complexity or grey areas in any situation: trying to reason with them is a waste of time.

Just expressing my thoughts here:

I really do enjoy making videos for you guys. I like the production side of it and I can actually control what goes on, it's not in realtime where "anything can happen". The sad thing is, there's such a demand on topics having to do with politics, but specifically gender division, relationships, loneliness and even race.

These are topics that I've talked about before but I feel like I am just constantly repeating the same message. I've noticed when I've made other videos on different topics, they don't seem to get as much interest.

I'm trying to find a balance where I can spread my message, make videos I enjoy, but also make videos that are relevant.

Do you guys have any video ideas? Anything specific that's relevant that you want me to cover?
