Hi everyone, after I finish working on Life of a Doduo, I'd like to put a short pause on Pokearth episodes to focus on improving my rigging and character animation skills.
I'm planning to only rig and animate 4 characters for this exercise. So far, I've chosen Charizard and Infernape because I have some action sequences in mind that I think they'd fit well. Not sure who the other 2 pokemon should be but I'm thinking 1 guy should be slow/bulky since the first 2 I've chosen are pretty fast/agile. I'm undecided so I'd like to hear your suggestions!
Afterwards, I'll create a small list of my favorite suggestions and have the tier 2 patrons vote for who will fill the last 2 spots sometime in February.

Voting on patreon for which pokemon (Gible, Sandile, Doduo, and Tropius) to star in the next Pokearth video is ending in 5 days. The new episode will take longer than usual to come out cuz I’m back in school this fall.
My friends and I have done our best to translate the videos into Chinese (mandarin), Spanish, and Japanese (Wailord only for now). These are based on machine translations and have been modified with knowledge we have of the languages. Please forgive any odd translation hiccups. More language subtitles may be added in the future.
For people wondering about the technical side of things:
All the visuals including compositing are done in blender. I don’t plan on making any tutorials but for those of you interested, most of my learning comes from YT tutorials and 2 paid courses: “Alive!” by P2design Academy and “Master 3D Environments in blender” by CG Boost. I do not use AI to generate or assist my work.
I use the blender FLIP Fluids add-on for water simulations. Still getting used to it so there’s noticeable jankiness in my work but I have a few ideas on how to improve in the future.
Didn’t expect to spend so much money on animation related stuff… but I’d like to think we all make financial mistakes in the heat of passion.
