The Aravali Hills are India’s oldest natural shield against desertification and climate imbalance. Yet today, illegal mining, unplanned urbanisation, and real estate expansion are rapidly destroying them.
Recent interpretations that only hills **above 100 metres qualify as Aravali have raised serious concerns. Because the truth is — even smaller hills have been part of the Aravali ecosystem for centuries, protecting groundwater, wildlife, and air quality.
