It’s with deep regret that I must inform you all, that our beloved Tina Shepard, Lar Park Lincoln, has passed away several days ago. She was 63 years old. She appeared in the 1987 film House II: The Second Story as Kate, the 1988 horror film Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood as Tina Shepard, and a 1988 episode of the anthology horror series Freddy's Nightmares as Karyn. Lincoln appeared in the television series Knots Landing from 1987 to 1991. After breaking to raise her kids as a widow, she returned to acting in the mid-2000s, eventually appearing in the meta-slasher film 13 Fanboy (2021) where she plays a fictionalized version of herself being stalked and hunted by an obsessed Friday the 13th fan (played by Vincent DiSanti), and Rose Blood: A Friday the 13th Fan Film (2021), the unofficial fan film continuing the story of Tina Shepard, her character from Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood.
Outside of acting, she mentored aspiring actors, something my friend, Jack, hoped would happen with him. He is devastated now. Right now, he believes that the breast cancer she had been battling since 2008, leading to numerous surgeries by 2012, ended up coming back. I could make a dedication to her in my fanfiction with a fancasting.
We've lost so many people this year. The ones I am aware of: David Lynch, Joan Plowright, Francisco San Martin, Lee Joo-Sil, Michelle Trachtenberg, Gene Hackman, Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff, George Foreman, Val Kilmer, Sophie Nyweide, Pope Francis and now Lar Park Lincoln.
RIP, we’ll miss you, Lar.
