If I knew then what I know now, I could have helped him advocate better for his life.

In 2025, I lost my brother at 63.

Diabetes. Heart disease. Stroke.

A slow collision of chronic illness that too many families know all too well.

I miss him. More than words can hold.

Just months later, I faced a life-threatening hypertensive episode of my own—one that could have ended very differently. That moment made it unmistakably clear: this work is personal.

It’s always been just like God to place me in spaces where my lived experience meets my assignment. Only now, I’m using the gift of research and the responsibility of advocacy so others don’t have to learn the hard way.

Living Well is a Lifestyle is more than a message.
It’s a Touch One Life, Touch Millions series—backed by science—because the world is showing us something plainly:

No one is coming to save us.
We are rewriting our narratives. Together.

If this message hit home, DM “Living Well is a Lifestyle” to begin your journey toward living well in community—with others who are tired of the daily drama, misinformation, and systemic neglect.

I never saw it coming.
And the goal is that it never happens again.
I will live—until it is no longer natural to live.

Don’t let that go over your head.
🖤

The price of potatoes plummeted back in the Fall because there was a huge supply. It was the perfect time to purchase them. I bought a supply and put them in cold storage t I make it through the winter. Well. They grew spuds. These spuds, I cut off to plant for my very own growing of tomatoes. Purchase them once and pls t them again a d again. Plant by March and harvest by June.

The process is called chatting. I use this method to avoid having rotten potatoes in my bags or ground for moles or voles.

Are you planting potatoes? Would you like to learn more about building your hone economy? DM I will send you think for our weekly sip n tea

“Snow never scared us—it taught us how to move.” ❄️
I’m a city girl living in the rural South.
I come from a place where snow wasn’t a shutdown—it was a money-making operation.
We didn’t wait for things to freeze over.
We caught the worms early.
We put chains on the tires.
We kept it moving.
Preparedness wasn’t optional—it was survival, strategy, and stewardship.
This winter reminded me that nothing in my life was ever wasted.
Not the kerosene heater warming the house.
Not heating water for bathing.
Not cooking meals when power was uncertain.
Not learning how to adapt when conditions changed.
Every lesson came back right on time.
Winter 2026 hit rural North Carolina hard—but we’re safe.
Because preparation isn’t panic.
It’s memory.
It’s wisdom.
It’s faith passed down and practiced.b
How prepared are you—for the season you’re in

In a world full of chaos, critical thinking becomes your superpower.
When the noise gets loud, I go back to the basics — the soil, the garden, and the wisdom that never fails.

Today’s nourishment?
Living miso soup.
A bowl packed with probiotics… not from a shelf, not from a packet, but from what I grew with my own two hands. 🌱🥣

This is what a strong home economy looks like:
food that heals, ingredients you can trust, and a lifestyle that keeps you resilient.

When you can walk into your backyard and harvest what your body needs — the world feels a lot less chaotic.

Grow what sustains you.
Eat what restores you.
Think for yourself.
Strength begins in the soil. 🌿✨
