🇮🇳 Happy 80th Independence Day, my YouTube family! ❤️

80 years of freedom…but one question keeps coming to mind: Are we truly free if a woman still has to think about her safety before simply stepping outside?

Independence should mean more than just freedom from colonial rule. It should mean freedom from fear, violence, harassment, discrimination and injustice. The conversations around rape, sexual violence, women’s safety, consent and accountability remind us that there is still work to do as a society.

We shouldn’t have to teach girls how to stay safe before teaching everyone to respect boundaries, understand consent and take responsibility for their actions. And when someone speaks up about abuse, they deserve support, dignity and justice—not victim-blaming or silence.

As we celebrate our nation today, let’s also hope for an India where every woman, every child and every person can live with dignity, equality and freedom without fear. 🇮🇳

Proud of our country. ❤️
And hopeful for the India we can build together.
