Welcome to Nurturing From The Womb. 🤍

I'm Shivani, and after years of infertility, eight IVF attempts, and a pregnancy filled with hope and fear, I finally became a mother.

This channel is where I share honest stories, gentle reflections, and encouragement for women navigating infertility, IVF, pregnancy after waiting, and motherhood.

If you've ever felt alone on this journey, I hope you find comfort, hope, and reassurance here.

🤍 New videos every week.

There were nights when my body was resting, but my mind wouldn't stop.

The next appointment.
The next result.
The next possibility.

And the next morning, I'd wake up and carry on as usual.

Nobody knew I hadn't really rested at all. 🤍

People saw me continuing.
Going to work.
Meeting friends.
Smiling through conversations.

What they didn't see was how much energy it took to keep going.

Sometimes the hardest work we do happens entirely inside us.
And nobody knows we're doing it. 🤍

Have you ever felt this way?

Happy Sunday. 🤍

Some seasons of life ask us to keep believing before we can see what's ahead.
I know how difficult that can feel.

Whether you're waiting...
healing...
grieving...
or simply trying to get through another week...

I hope today gives you a little space to rest.
You don't have to have all the answers today.

Sometimes it's enough to simply take the next gentle step.

I'm holding hope with you.

You are not alone. 🤍

I've been reflecting on something recently.

When you look back on a difficult season of your life...
do you remember the big moments?

Or the ordinary days when you quietly kept going?
For me, it's often those ordinary days.
The meetings.
The workshops.
The smiles.
The conversations.

The days nobody knew how much I was carrying.

Today's Short is about a moment I've never forgotten.

Less than 24 hours after a negative IVF result, I was on a bus with my colleagues heading to a company offsite.

Nobody knew what had happened the day before.

Looking back, I realise that day taught me one of the biggest lessons of my infertility journey:
Functioning and healing are not the same thing.

If you've ever looked completely fine on the outside while quietly carrying something heavy...
I hope this Short reminds you that your struggle is real, even when nobody else can see it.

There was a time when I thought that if I was still functioning...
then I must be okay.

Looking back, I realise those were two very different things.

There were days I smiled through meetings, facilitated workshops, solved problems, and looked completely fine.

Inside, I was carrying heartbreak that nobody could see.

One of the biggest lessons infertility taught me is this:
Functioning and healing are not the same thing.

If you're carrying something heavy right now, I hope you know this:
You don't have to fall apart publicly for your pain to be real.
🤍

Have you ever had a season where everyone thought you were okay... but inside you were carrying much more than anyone realised?

One of the hardest things about infertility wasn't that life stopped.
It was that life didn't.

People still needed me.
Work still needed me.
Responsibilities didn't pause just because my heart was hurting.

Looking back, I realise something I wish I'd understood sooner:
Functioning and healing are not the same thing.

Just because you're getting through the day doesn't mean you're okay.
Just because you're smiling doesn't mean your heart isn't heavy.

If you're carrying something quietly today, I hope you know this:
You don't have to prove your pain before it becomes valid.

One IVF cycle ended with a negative result.

Less than 24 hours later, I was facilitating a company offsite.

I smiled.
Led activities.
Joined photographs.
Made sure everyone had a wonderful time.

Nobody knew my heart had been broken the day before.

For a long time, I thought being able to keep going meant I was coping well.

Infertility taught me otherwise.

Functioning and healing are not the same thing.

Someone can look completely okay from the outside while using every bit of strength they have just to make it through the day. 🤍

Have you ever gone through something difficult while the people around you had no idea?

Sometimes people mistake functioning for healing.

For years, I believed that if I could still show up, smile, work, and keep going...
then maybe I was doing okay.

Looking back, I realise those were two very different things.

Some of the hardest seasons of my infertility happened while life around me looked completely normal.

I was still working.
Still facilitating workshops.
Still laughing in photographs.
Inside, I was quietly carrying heartbreak that nobody could see.

I think many of us do this—not just during infertility, but during grief, loss, illness, and life's quieter struggles.

Have you ever had a season where everyone thought you were okay... but inside you were carrying far more than anyone realised?

I'd love to hear your story. 🤍

Before a new week begins… 🤍

You don’t have to carry everything from this week straight into the next one.

Maybe tonight can simply be a small pause.

A cup of tea.
A slower evening.

One long exhale.

Whatever this week held, I hope the next one holds a little more room for you. 🤍
