Maui our Green Wing Macaw has taken over this channel!
We've wanted a Macaw parrot for over 20 years. At the end of 2020 we finally decided now is the right time and set about finding a breeder and also researching different Macaw species. We found a top UK based breeder (after a lot of research) and decided that we wanted a Green Wing, which just so happens to be one of the largest Macaw's.
Many, many, many month's of waiting and our Green Wing Macaw finally hatched on 17th May 2021.
We didn't find our the gender of our Macaw until he was almost ready to come home. Therefore you will find that we refer to Maui as 'Egg" in a lot of our early videos. This is because when we put our order in with the breeder he said we have 'Egg number 4'!
Join us in our journey with Maui from hatch date through to training, free flight and beyond. You will also see a number of his 'friends' which are other birds we have. These include parrots and birds of pray!

So happy that we managed to take Maui’s harness off for the very first time. He did some recall with us and played on the grass! (He also tried to eat my trainer 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️)

Maui still very much enjoys playing in the sink! He will fly over to the sink to let us know he wants a wash.
